Pakistan, Korea Exim Bank to develop the first software technology park

Pakistan and Korea Exim Bank will sign an agreement for the establishment of first Software Technology Park in Islamabad on 21st of the current month. The announcement was made by the  Minister of state Information Technology Anusha Rahman at an awards distribution ceremony of National Telecom Corporation in Islamabad today.

The project is aimed at promoting the IT sector in Pakistan and more than 150 IT firms are expected to be accommodated in the park.Anusha Rahman further added that the government is committed to connect the whole Pakistan through modern communication technologies by the end of 2018.One hundred and seven latest technology center are due to be set up in rural areas of Islamabad by the end of June this year. She said more than 50,000 girls will be trained in these labs.

The minister further added that registration of Pakistan dot(.) is to promote Urdu language.
