Pakistan, Switzerland to sign agreement on exchange of bank accounts data

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in a policy statement in the National Assembly on Wednesday has said that  Pakistan will soon be signing an agreement with Switzerland on exchange of information regarding bank accounts on March 21st.

He further informed that several meetings had been held with the Swiss Authorities in this regard and now  Pakistan has been invited to sign the agreement.

The Finance Minister also added that Pakistan has already signed the Multilateral Convention on Tax Matters with Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on September 14, 2016 which will become operational next year.He further informed that  Pakistan is the 104th member of the Organization.After the operationalization of this convention, it will be impossible to keep tax evasion money in these countries.
