Capital Analytics, PSX collaborate to encourage research-based trading

Capital Analytics (CA) (subsidiary of Capital Stake), a fin-tech startup and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) have agreed to enter into a joint venture, media sources have reported.  According to the agreement, Capital Analytics will have detailed access to data on all listed companies and Capital Analytics will provide all PSX brokers limited time access to comprehensive insights and data free of cost. This dissemination of data is likely to benefit the clients to make more informed and result-oriented decisions.

Capital Stake is a fin-tech startup launched in 2014 specialising in providing detailed financial research on all listed companies on the bourse along with providing technical and industry specific indicators as well as analytical reviews and insights that can help in informed and intelligent decision making.

This agreement aims at revamping the Karachi inter-trading system (KITS) to bring it to par with global standards. This joint venture will act as a portal for stock market listed data and will ensure the access to financial data to the world at large.

The agreement is an attempt to encourage research-based trading and to highlight the importance of technical analysis in the trading market as opposed to ‘awaz’ or tipbased trading.

Some features available on through this joint venture will be:

  • Financial Statements (7 years along with quarterlies)
  • Fundamental Analysis (174 indicators for 7 years)
  • Technical Analysis (20+ indicators on CS Charts)
  • Qualitative Analysis (associated comps, shareholding pattern etc.)
  • Latest Announcements
  • Sectors Overview (All 36 sectors in comparison to each other)
  • Search Filters
  • Tutorial Videos

Bilal Tariq, CEO of Capital Stake is of the view that the collaborative effort is likely to lend ‘credibility to the startup ecosystem’ and provide ‘boost to Pakistan’s economic climate’.

Nadeem Naqvi, MD Stock Exchange expressed that the collaboration is likely to boost the confidence of local and international investors and will facilitate  Chinese partners to cross-list companies on the bourse.
