MyDoctor.pk and FonePay partner for promotion of digital healthcare services

Lahore: Upcoming healthcare based startup MyDoctor.pk has added another feather to its cap by entering into a strategic partnership with FonePay for promotion of digital healthcare services in Pakistan.

FonePay which is Pakistan’s first payment Super App powered by Masterpass will provide all its users a platform to access quality healthcare services under one umbrella, using MyDoctor’s platform.

This strategic partnership between MyDoctor.pk and FonePay, would offer seamless integration and provide access to a database housing more than 14,000 PMDC verified doctors, online booking of appointments and payment option, medicine home-delivery, home lab tests, free tele-consultations etc.

While speaking on this occasion Innov8 Limited’s co-founder and co-CEO, Hasnain Sheikh said Healthcare is a very important vertical for us and ties in with FonePay’s vision of becoming your essential app for everyday life.  We are excited to partner with the MyDoctor.pk platform, given its unique value proposition for health seekers and providers. We intend to grow together strategically by offering premium healthcare services via the FonePay ecosystem.”

MyDoctor.pk is said to be in discussions with various hospitals, pharmacies and diagnostics countrywide and is offering integration into its ecosystem, which could revolutionize the healthcare sector, considering Pakistan’s burgeoning population and lack of public hospitals availability which currently afflicts the public.

It is a development which bodes well for consumers availing MyDoctor’s services and offers them an opportunity to plug a major weakness that has plagued the Pakistani health sector for decades.

Also present at the ceremony was the Co-Founder & CEO of MediConnect Services, Abid Zuberi who said: “MyDoctor is on a mission to make healthcare simpler, accessible and more convenient for the masses. We want to provide quality healthcare services to patients across Pakistan and solve core problems. Partnering with FonePay’s Super App platform will not only enable us drive access to a vast consumer base but also help in digitizing payments in the largely untapped healthcare segment’.
