Investors in Bahrain wish to establish economic ties with Pak: Ambassador Malik

MANAMA: Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Holding Company has been established to improve trade between the two countries and increase investment opportunities.

“The traders and investors in Bahrain want to establish strong economic ties with Pakistan and the establishment of the joint investment company is its proof,” Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Javed Malik said during an event at Gulf Convention Centre in Manama, Bahrain. “The presence of a port in Gwadar and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is opening new opportunities for trade in the region.”

According to Malik, Pakistan is emerging as a prospering economy in the region.

On the occasion organised by a Pakistan-Bahrain society, Malik invited the participants to attend the expo that will be held in Pakistan in November. He informed the audience that a high-level delegation from Bahrain will attend the expo.

Renowned businesspersons of Bahrain, including Khalid Al-Zayani, who were present at the event, said their companies were successfully functional in Pakistan. They added other traders in Bahrain should also avail the opportunities that are available in Pakistan.

Earlier in the year, a conference on the exchange of business opportunities between Pakistan and Bahrain was held in Islamabad. On the occasion, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had welcomed the initiative of establishing Pakistan Bahrain Joint Holding Company.
