PSO-Attock petroleum open country’s most advanced fuel farm at New Islamabad Airport

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s most sophisticated fuel farm facility was opened at the New Islamabad International Airport by Adviser to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan on Thursday.

This fuel farm was developed in partnership with state-owned Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Attock Petroleum Limited, reported Express Tribune.

While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mehtab Ahmed Khan felicitated the efforts of Attock Petroleum and PSO for serving the aviation industry by establishing this sophisticated fuel farm facility at the new airport in Islamabad.

He added this indicated the intent of both companies to their aim of providing uninterrupted fuel supplies to the aviation sector.

The seamless operations of the facility will be guaranteed by offloading bays which are equipped with 600 USPGM pumps, a storage capacity of 10,000 tons having three vertical tanks.

The facility also has a 3,600 USGPM product pumping system and possesses a sophisticated refueling equipment comprising eight hydrants.

Managing Director, PSO Sheikh Imranul Haque felt honored at having been part of launching Pakistan’s biggest and most sophisticated fuel farm facility at the newest and largest airport in the country.

CEO, Attock Oil Group, Shuaib Anwar Malik stated the establishment of this state-of-the-art fuel farm was a huge positive as it would enable in efficiently fueling the country’s aviation sector.

Mr. Malik added this facility would fulfill the requirements of the aviation industry effectively in coming decades and assist businesses to move fast and safe.
