Bank of Khyber profits surge by 25pc to Rs447.711 million

LAHORE: The Bank of Khyber (BOK) in a notification to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday, released its financial results for the period ended March 31, 2018, announcing profit after taxation of Rs447.711 million, up 25 per cent from Rs358.215 million on March 31, 2017.

BOK declared earnings per share (EPS) of Rs0.45, against Rs0.36 same period last year (SPLY). Meanwhile, the bank reported a Net Spread earned worth Rs3.625 billion, meanwhile, the bank’s net income after provisions rose by 48.31 per cent to Rs1.498 billion.

BOK recorded a whopping 60 per cent increase in fee commission and brokerage income from Rs56.13 million to Rs89.60 million. Meanwhile, it also recorded an increase of 19.39 per cent in income from foreign currencies which recorded an increase of Rs3.79 million. However, the statements released show a sharp decline in dividend income by 65.56 per cent to Rs6.63 million from Rs19.25 million SPLY.
