Dar lauds services of outgoing Governor SBP

ISLAMABAD

Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has lauded the services of Ashraf Wathra that he rendered as Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and congratulated him on the successful completion of his tenure.

Ashraf Mahmood Wathra, outgoing Governor SBP was paid a farewell call by finance minister, here on Saturday.

Ishaq Dar said that Ashraf Mehmood Wathra remained committed to his work throughout his tenure and contributed significantly to smoothen implementation of monetary policy and regulation of the money market. He praised the outgoing governor’s professionalism and commitment.

Asraf Wathra thanked the finance minister for the support extended to him in undertaking and fulfilling his official obligations.

Ishaq Dar on the occasion also welcomed the newly appointed Governor SBP, Tariq Bajwa and wished him well for his new assignment.

Secretaries of ministries of finance and commerce and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
