Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday for an official visit aimed at deepening bilateral and economic relations with Pakistan.
In a landmark development, the Rwandan Foreign Minister will officially inaugurate the High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Islamabad. This follows the recent establishment of diplomatic missions in both Kigali and Islamabad, and marks the first-ever official visit by a Rwandan Foreign Minister to Pakistan.
Ambassador Nduhungirehe is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate Chairman, and several key federal ministers to discuss avenues for enhanced cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and development.
He will also engage with members of Pakistan’s business community to explore opportunities for commercial partnerships between the two nations.
The visiting dignitary was received at the airport by senior officials of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Director General (Africa), the Rwandan High Commissioner to Pakistan, and other ministry representatives.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office described the visit as a step toward opening new avenues of cooperation and fostering a long-term partnership between the two friendly countries.
