In a notice sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday, National Foods Limited reported a profit of Rs444 million for the half year ended on December 31, 2016. This is 9.4 percent down against Rs490 million it earned in previous year.
The food and culinary ingredients manufacturer also reported revenue of Rs6.8 billion for the half year ended December 31, 2016, up 7 percent compared to Rs6.3 billion it earned in the same period of 2015.
The food company which deals in various productions of spices and condiments, reported earnings per share of Rs4.29 against Rs4.74 it reported in half yearly report of December 2015.
Following the result announcement, National Food’s share price depreciated to Rs345, down Rs9, against Rs354 it settled on at the end of last day’s business. As many as 2200 shares of the company were traded till the filing of this report at 11 a.m.
