CDWP approves 17 projects worth Rs 99.4 billion

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Wednesday approved 17 projects worth Rs 99.4 billion, including five projects costing Rs 93 billion, which were referred to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC). In addition, it approved one position paper and cleared 9 projects worth Rs 7.9 billion.

The meeting was chaired by Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal and was attended by senior officers of the provincial governments and ministries concerned.

CDWP approved the Gwadar-Nawabshah LNG terminal and a pipeline project of worth Rs 36 billion was also approved.

Prime Minister’s Programme for the construction of 46 new hospitals across Pakistan was also approved with an amount of Rs 1.3 billion.

Dualization and improvement of Pindigheb – Kohat Road were also approved with Rs 19.9 billion. In addition, CDWP also approved the construction of infrastructure for Metro Bus from Peshawar Mor to New Islamabad International Airport costing Rs 16.8 billion.
