OGRA proposes another hike in petroleum prices

Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is proposing another hike in petroleum prices in a summary sent to the government, media sources have reported.

The price suggestions have been proposed in accordance with the imports made by Pakistan State Oil (PSO). According to OGRA’s proposal, the price of petrol could go up by 6.11pc per litre, while that of high-speed diesel by 5.55pc per litre. Moreover, the price of light speed diesel is expected to go up by 29 pc per litre with kerosene oil prices expected to witness the highest increase of 38.63 pc per litre.

It is pertinent to mention that domestic consumers are already paying about 38 pc higher for consumption of petroleum products compared to prevalent global rates.
