ADB, Punjab Govt to collaborate for improvement of urban infrastructure

The Government of Punjab and Asian Development Bank are actively working on a new $250m urban sector project aimed at improving urban infrastructure and services in Sahiwal and Sialkot. The project will focus on clean water, sewage system, sanitation facilities, parks, streets and bus terminals in an attempt to alleviate the living standards of the common people.

Earlier in March, the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with the representatives of  ADB and stated that the implementation of the project be at the earliest.

The phase II of the project focusing on Bhawalpur, Sargodha and Rahim Yar Khan will be approved in 2018.
