NED hosts Lotte Scholarship Foundation awarding ceremony

KARACHI: NED University of Engineering and Technology hosted a LOTTE Scholarship Foundation awarding ceremony on January 18. The event had a great turn out where students were awarded scholarships from South Korea’s Lotte Scholarship Foundation.

The auspicious occasion was graced by the Korean Consulate General Kim Dong Gi, NED Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Lotte Chemical Chief Executive Humair Ijaz, Lotte Chemical Director Sang Hyeon Lee, Lotte Kolson Chief Executive Abdul Latif and numerous distinguished guests from NED, Lotte Chemical and Lotte Kolson.

In his speech, Kim Dong Gi expressed his support and cooperation in light of knowledge sharing and strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Korea.

NED vice-chancellor appreciated his gesture and urged to reinforce student exposure in the industry for gaining practical experience.

The purpose of these scholarships was to encourage students for their efforts towards academic excellence. The scholarships were awarded on a merit basis to twelve deserving students who belonged to electrical, electronics, mechanical and chemical departments at NED.
