FBR appoints Habibullah Khan as new member Inland Revenue Operations

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has filled the important post of member operations by appointing Habibullah Khan as new member Inland Revenue Operations.

A notification issued by the tax department stated that Habibullah Khan, a BS 21 officer of IRS (Inland Revenue Service), currently working as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Large Taxpayers Unit Islamabad has been transferred as member IR Operations FBR headquarters Islamabad.

The post of member operations was vacant after the retirement of Khawaja Tanveer in the first week of February this year but the government, in spite of appointing a full member had just given the additional charge to another member of Inland Revenue policy, Dr Iqbal.

The post of member operations is considered extremely important in FBR as the officer who sits on this seat is answerable for the revenue target. At the moment, the post of member taxpayer audit is also vacant after the retirement of Rahmat ul Allah Wazir on March 3, 2018.

In addition to this, member (IT wing) Khawaja Adnan Zahir has been assigned the additional charge of the post of member (TPA).

Similarly, Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Tax office Islamabad Mustafa Sajjad Hassan has also been assigned the look after the charge of the post of Chief Commissioner IR LTU Islamabad until the posting of a regular incumbent.

On the other hand, Khurram Hammed Paracha (BS 18 acting charge/OMG) presently posted as section officer (BS 18/ acting charge) in the Finance Division has been transferred and posted as section officer (BS 18 acting charge) Military Finance Division with immediate effect until further orders.
