Pakistan, Japan discuss ways to enhance bilateral trade

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Japan on Thursday discussed ways and means to further promote economic and trade relations between the two countries.

Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Kuninori Matsuda called on Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Nadeem Babar and the two sides discussed bilateral ties and emphasized the need to further promote economic and trade relations between the two countries, a Petroleum Division press release said.

Nadeem Babar said Pakistan highly valued its ties with Japan, as the country has always extended support to Pakistan.

He stressed the need to encourage the private sector to make investments in diverse fields of Pakistan, as the government had introduced investor-friendly policies.

The envoy reiterated that the cordial and friendly relations between the two countries would continue to grow and strengthen in future.
