100 companies responsible for Pakistan's 40pc exports

LAHORE: The top 100 exporters of the country exported goods worth $9,558 million in FY19 (July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019), which was 40pc of the total exports ($24,251 million).

According to figures available with this scribe, textile exporters carried out exports worth $7,342 million during the period under review, which was 77pc of the total exports carried out by the top 100 exporters ($9,558 million).

TOP EXPORTERS

Nishat Mills Limited, the textile conglomerate owned by the Mansha family emerged led the FY19 list with exports worth $353 million (3.7pc of the total exports carried out by the top 100 exporters).

Style Textile Private Limited, another leading textile and apparel manufacturer, was next in line with exports worth $294 million during FY19. Their clients include Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi’s, Haggar, JCPenney, GAP and others.

Artistic Milliners Pvt Ltd stood at the 3rd position with exports worth $273 million, followed by Soorty Enterprises with exports worth $248 million.

Musadaq Zulqarnain’s Interloop Ltd was among the country’s top 10 exporters with exports of socks, denim and other products worth $238 million during the said period.

United Energy Pakistan Ltd, the largest foreign oil and gas exploration and (E&P) company in Pakistan, remained 9th on the list with exports worth $227 million, while Masood Textile Mills Limited, one of the country’s largest garments manufacturers, also made it to the list with exports worth $219 million during FY19. Their clients include Puma, Jockey, Reebok, Adidas, JC Penney, Macy’s, Pull and Bear, Amazon and others.
