SBP’s initiatives to help keep businesses afloat: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the incentives announced by the State Bank of Pakistan for businesses are part of the government’s policy of maintaining a balance between protecting the people through a targeted lockdown and ensuring that the vulnerable and needy are provided for.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, the Prime Minister said that Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program is underway and the government is seeking to offer business incentives with tax refunds and opening up the construction sector while keeping agricultural sector open.

The Prime Minister tweeted, “With tax refunds & opening up the construction sector while keeping agri sector open. SBP’s initiatives for businesses during the COVID19 will help keep businesses afloat & prevent massive unemployment.”

He said that agriculture sector is already open to protect people from unemployment. He added that SBP’s initiatives for businesses during the COVID19 will help keep businesses afloat and prevent massive unemployment.
