HBL, Serena pledge 30,000 meals for frontline medical professionals

ISLAMABAD: The Habib Bank Limited and Serena Hotels have joined hands to provide 30,000 meal-boxes over a period of one month to medical professionals battling the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic.

The meal will be provided in seven cities where Serena hotel chains are present, says a joint press release.

‘Jazba-e-Khidmat’ is a joint initiative of HBL and Serena Hotels that aims to provide specially prepared meal-boxes to medical teams at the Covid-19 designated hospitals and health camps in cities of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Swat, Quetta, Gilgit and Khaplu.

The meal-boxes will be provided twice a day to all medical team members in 20 hospitals countrywide for a month.

“Medical professionals are doing a tremendous service to the society by battling on the frontlines against the virus pandemic. Efforts should be undertaken to ensure the health and safety of these medical professionals,” the release further says.

HBL is keenly aware of its duty to support Pakistan at this difficult time and its role in financing these meal-boxes is part of its larger effort to assist the society against the outbreak.

Serena Hotels will provide quality meal-boxes with nutritious food to keep medical professionals energised.
