FBR pastes notice on Justice Isa’s house

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Saturday pasted a notice from the tax authority outside the residence of Supreme Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

According to sources, the FBR sent notices to the judge’s residence thrice but received no response, adding that the notice was pasted outside his home as per the rules.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Supreme Court has dismissed the presidential reference against Justice Qazi Faez Isa after declaring it ‘invalid’ while accepting the petitioner’s pleas on June 19.

It stated that Justice Isa’s family will file a response to the FBR notice and no delay should be made over anyone’s absence from the country.

    • One of the most honest judge in Pakistn…. Qazi Faez Isa has proved that he is brave son of a brave fathet

      • Then NS and AZ should also be given awards for bravery! They too have been fighting so long against investigation into their alleged wrong doings.
This case has been going on for many months, taking up time of 10 SC judges paid by tax-payers, and other litigants waiting years for SC hearing date are denied their right.
If all is straight-forward, why could he not just have asked his wife to provide details at the start of the matter, ended the matter, and
saved crores of public money, so as not to delay justice to others?
While I used to admire his independence, this action is that of a selfish and arrogant person, too immature to be a CJ of the SC where these would certainly be undesirable with the power that position has.

  1. Basically there is golden law for the elite, judiciary exempt and harsh law for poor and needy!
