NA speaker invites EU to invest in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser has invited investors from the European Union (UN) to invest in Pakistan to contribute to the economic development of the country.

Talking to EU Ambassador in Pakistan Androulla Kaminara here on Tuesday, he said Pakistan has vast potential for investment in various sectors.

The Speaker said the present government has introduced investment-friendly policies for the development of economic and industrial sectors.

He said the projects being executed under CPEC have accelerated economic activity in the country.

Asad Qaiser said peaceful Afghanistan is imperative for peace and progress in the region, including Pakistan.

The EU ambassador said steps are being taken to enhance the volume of trade with Pakistan, adding that the EU mission will continue playing its role in improving parliamentary cooperation.

She said the EU will also continue to extend its cooperation for socio-economic development in Pakistan, including infrastructural development.
