Claims of policy change ‘hold no degree of truth’, says Fazl

Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said that the leaders of the alliance are united that “claims of change in policy are exaggerated and hold no degree of truth”.

The above was said while speaking to media persons in Multan, wherein the JUI-F chief added that opposition lawmakers have submitted their resignations to the party. He said that the process was still underway.

Fazl said that the incumbent government had illegally occupied the federal capital and that the PDM was in the right in its struggle to get rid of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“Islamabad is not someone’s property, we are undertaking a legitimate struggle to get rid of an illegal occupation,” he stressed.

Moreover, Fazl said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz would host the Bahawalpur rally under his leadership, adding that it would be a historic show.

Earlier, PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Fazl, Maryam, and Yousuf Raza Gilani would address the rally.

The venue for the rally was decided to be the lawn of MPA Malik Zaheer’s residence.
