Industrialists urge govt to take pragmatic steps for resolution of issues

PESHAWAR: Industrialists have urged the government to take pragmatic steps for resolution of issues to promote industrialization in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The industrialists Association Peshawar (IAP) acting president Ayub Zakori said that the business community is the backbone of the economy.

The association’s acting chief said resolution of industrialists is our topmost priority. He added business, trade and industries would only be flourished by resolving industrialist’s issues on a fast-track basis.

Ayub Zakori, the IAP acting president made these remarks while leading an industrialists’ delegation during a meeting with newly elected SCCI’s president Fuad Ishaq and senior vice president Sanaullah Khan here at the chamber’s house on Wednesday.

The IAP delegation was consisted on Senator Nauman Wazir; Executive members IAP Malik Niaz Ahmed, Farhad Asfandyar; Secretary General IAP Muqtasid Ahsan; members IAP Haris Mufti, Junaid Altaf, Salman Altaf and ex-president SCCI Faiz Muhammad felicitated the newly elected President Fuad Ishaq, SVP Sana Ullah and VP Ejaz Afridi of SCCI.

A brief discussion on contemporary issues faced by industries and business community and possible solutions was carried out.

The SCCI President-elect had assured mutual cooperation for the betterment and promotion of industries and assured extended support at all the forums.

IAP delegates had highly appreciated the assurance and support of SCCI for betterment of industries and the business community.

Both IAP and SCCI reaffirmed a strong resolve of bipartite collaborative and connected nexus to facilitate and boost economic activity through industrial development and trade.

Earlier, IAP acting chief Ayub Zakuri informed the president of SCCI Fuad Ishaq in detail about the problems of the industrialists and also presented various suggestions for their solution.

Fuad Ishaq agreed with the recommendations of the IAP delegation and assured to take up the problems of the industrialists effectively with the relevant institutions at the central and provincial levels and solve them immediately.
