The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL) has announced the completion of its second phase expansion, adding a production capacity of 300 metric tons (MT) per month of frozen cooked beef.
The company disclosed this development through a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday, in accordance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and PSX regulations.
“The expanded production capacity is aimed at catering to the growing demand for high-quality frozen cooked beef meat products, particularly in the People’s Republic of China (PR China) market, where The Organic Meat Company Limited has a strong presence,” read the notice.
This development marks a significant milestone in The Organic Meat Company Limited’s strategic growth initiatives and further strengthens its position in the Chinese frozen cooked beef market.
Last year, the TOMCL’s board approved its first expansion plan with an investment of Rs600 million that was aimed at broadening its business presence for boneless frozen, heat-treated, and cooked frozen beef export orders to international markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Central Independent States (CIS), Iraq, and China.
TOMCL started exporting cooked and heat-treated frozen beef products to China, becoming the first South Asian company, in January 2024.
