KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab met at the Governor House to discuss ongoing and upcoming initiatives aimed at improving the city’s infrastructure and civic facilities.
During the meeting, both leaders expressed their shared commitment to working together for Karachi’s development. Governor Tessori praised Mayor Wahab’s efforts, noting that his work was “commendable” and that the Governor’s office would continue to support initiatives aimed at enhancing the city.
“Karachi’s development is a shared priority,” Tessori said, emphasizing that the provincial government would provide every possible support for projects designed to uplift the city.
Mayor Wahab, for his part, highlighted the importance of collaboration between all institutions. “Our collective goal is the betterment of Karachi and the welfare of its citizens,” he stated. He also briefed the Governor on the progress of ongoing projects and expressed optimism about their potential impact on the city’s growth.
Both leaders also discussed a recent letter from Governor Tessori to the Chief Justice of Pakistan concerning the rising number of heavy vehicle accidents in Karachi. The Governor reiterated that the city’s progress was critical not only for Karachi but also for the entire country. “Karachi’s development is Pakistan’s development,” he remarked.
