Dar directs timely execution of Balochistan solar project

Deputy Prime Minister calls for greater coordination and urges efficient use of resources to ensure timely implementation of the initiative

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has directed relevant departments to accelerate the finalisation of the solarisation project aimed at powering tubewells in Balochistan.

Chairing a high-level meeting on Saturday, the Deputy Prime Minister called for enhanced coordination among stakeholders and urged efficient utilisation of resources to ensure timely implementation of the initiative.

The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Finance, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, senior officials from the Ministry of Power, and representatives from the Government of Balochistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the project’s importance in advancing clean energy, cutting operational costs, boosting agricultural productivity, and improving the livelihoods of farmers in the province.
