LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has launched a series of anti-encroachment operations, demolishing unauthorised structures outside residential properties in Sabzazar and Allama Iqbal Town.
According to a statement issued Saturday, LDA teams removed sheds, parking spaces, and ramps constructed beyond property limits in the Pak and Asif Blocks of Allama Iqbal Town and the M and N Blocks of Sabzazar.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq urged residents to confine construction within allocated boundaries, noting that green belts and parking at road level are permissible in LDA-approved housing schemes. He added that the initiative has prompted voluntary removal of encroachments by residents and that similar operations will be extended to other LDA schemes.
Separately, the LDA DG visited Gulberg to inspect ongoing development work on Sir Syed Road, Hali Road, College Road, and C1 and D1 Blocks. He directed officials to accelerate progress on these projects.
