Sales of battery electric vehicles dropped 18% to 41,900 units during the April to June period

German carmaker Mercedes-Benz said Monday that its global sales of cars and vans fell 9% in the second quarter to 547,100 units, as new global tariff policies affected deliveries in key markets.

Sales of battery electric vehicles dropped 18% to 41,900 units during the April to June period. The company said it adjusted deliveries to dealerships to manage the impact of tariffs, particularly in the United States and China.
