Chinese automaker BYD said on Tuesday it has rolled out a new smartphone-car connectivity feature across its full vehicle lineup.
The system is designed to work with major Chinese smartphone brands, including Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo.
The feature allows seamless integration between the user’s smartphone and the vehicle’s infotainment system, enabling functions such as navigation, media control, calls, and other in-car applications directly through the car’s interface. The system aims to enhance user convenience and strengthen BYD’s position in the growing market for smart, connected vehicles.
BYD did not disclose the technical specifications in full but stated that the feature supports real-time synchronization and will be compatible with both existing and new models across its various sub-brands, including Dynasty, Ocean, and Denza.
