Mega Motor Company, BYD launch Sealion 7 and Atto 2 in Pakistan

Mega Motor Company, in partnership with BYD, has launched two new electric vehicles in Pakistan, the BYD Sealion 7 and BYD Atto 2, expanding its new energy vehicle portfolio in the country.

The company said bookings for both models are now open nationwide, with the two launches targeting different segments of the electric vehicle market, ranging from premium performance-focused SUVs to urban-oriented daily-use models.

The BYD Atto 2 is priced at PKR 7.29 million, with bookings starting at PKR 1.4 million, while the BYD Sealion 7 is priced at PKR 15.49 million, requiring a booking amount of PKR 3.0 million.

The Sealion 7 has been introduced as a premium electric SUV positioned in the higher-end segment. The model offers 308 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and a braking distance of 37 metres from 100 km/h. It provides a driving range of up to 567 kilometres on a single charge.

The Atto 2, designed for urban and everyday use, features keyless start with NFC access, a 50W wireless charging pad, electric and ventilated seats, and a compact cabin layout. The model delivers zero to 100 kilometres per hour acceleration in 7.9 seconds and offers a range of around 380 kilometres. 

The company said running and maintenance costs are significantly lower compared with internal combustion engine vehicles in the same category.
