Pakistan’s IT exports hit $2.6 billion in 7MFY26, marking 20% growth YoY

Pakistan’s IT exports reached $374 million in January 2026, marking a 19% increase year-on-year, though down 14% compared to December 2025, according to data compiled by Topline Securities.

For the first seven months of the fiscal year (7MFY26), total IT exports have reached $2.6 billion, reflecting a 20% growth compared to the same period last year.

Net IT exports, which account for the difference between exports and imports, amounted to $314 million in January, up 12% year-on-year.

The government has set a target of $5 billion for IT exports in FY26. However, analysts project a growth of 18-20% for the year, bringing exports to $4.5 billion, up from $3.8 billion in FY25.

Under the ‘Uraan Pakistan’ national economic plan, the government has set an ambitious target of $10 billion in IT exports by FY29, requiring a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27% over the next few years.
