ARY Digital Network has acquired a majority stake in the digital media platform Nukta, bringing the rapidly growing digital outlet into the broader media ecosystem of the ARY Group.
The acquisition, announced on March 8, 2026, marks ARY’s latest move to expand its presence in the digital media space while building on its long-standing influence in television broadcasting.
Under the arrangement, Nukta will continue to operate from its Dubai headquarters but will become part of ARY Group’s international media network. The integration is expected to allow the platform to leverage ARY’s production capabilities, broadcast infrastructure, and audience reach across television and digital platforms.
Salman Iqbal, founder of ARY Digital Network and chief executive officer of ARY Group, said the acquisition reflects the network’s strategy to strengthen its presence across multiple media formats.
“The media landscape is changing rapidly, and ARY has always been at the forefront of that evolution. By bringing Nukta into the ARY ecosystem, we are strengthening our digital presence while building on ARY’s global broadcast leadership,” he said.
Launched with operations in Pakistan and Dubai, Nukta operates several content verticals, including Nukta Pakistan, Nukta Dubai, Nukta Business, Nukta Crime and Nukta Life. The platform has built a growing digital audience across social media and online channels.
As part of the acquisition, veteran journalist Kamran Khan—founder of Nukta with more than four decades of experience in print and television journalism—will join ARY as chairman of both ARY News and Nukta.
Khan said the partnership would combine ARY’s television reach with Nukta’s digital-first model.
“This partnership creates an exciting opportunity to combine ARY’s unmatched broadcast reach with Nukta’s fast-growing digital platform. Together, we aim to build a modern media platform that delivers credible journalism, sharp analysis and compelling storytelling for audiences across Pakistan and the global South Asian community,” he said.
As part of the integration, Nukta’s flagship program On My Radar (OMR), hosted by Kamran Khan, will soon be broadcast on ARY News, expanding the show’s reach to television audiences.
The acquisition adds Nukta to ARY Group’s expanding portfolio of media assets, as the network continues to combine its television operations with a growing digital media presence aimed at audiences in Pakistan and abroad.
