Pakistan has two-month stock of ghee, edible oil amid regional tensions: PVMA
Industry body says domestic supply remains stable despite Middle East geopolitical uncertainty

Pakistan has sufficient stocks of ghee and edible oil to meet domestic demand for at least the next two months, the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA) said.
PVMA Chairman Sheikh Umer Rehan said the country currently holds adequate reserves of both products and there is no immediate risk of shortages.
He said the industry is prepared to maintain steady supply in the local market despite rising geopolitical tensions in the region, particularly involving Israel, the United States and Iran.
“Pakistan will not face any shortage of ghee or edible oil,” Rehan said, adding that existing inventories are sufficient to meet national consumption requirements.
He said manufacturers are continuing operations and supply chains remain intact to ensure availability of the products across the country.
