Barkat Frisian Agro Limited has completed the trial run of its Faisalabad production facility and expects to begin commercial operations next month, while also advancing its egg powder plant and poultry farming integration projects.
The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday that the new facility, located in M-3 Industrial City Faisalabad, is part of its IPO-linked expansion plan aimed at increasing capacity for pasteurized egg products for both domestic and export markets.
Full-scale commercial production at the plant is expected to commence at the start of the upcoming month, with timelines remaining consistent with those disclosed in the company’s prospectus.
Separately, the company said it has moved forward with its dried egg powder production project, placing orders for plant and machinery and establishing required letters of credit, while construction work at the facility has already begun.
In its backward integration strategy, the company confirmed that it has acquired land for poultry layer farming, placed equipment orders, opened letters of credit, and initiated construction of farming infrastructure.
These initiatives are part of a broader plan to strengthen supply chain integration, improve operational efficiency, and support long-term growth.
The company said it will continue to update the exchange on further developments related to these projects.
