Bilateral trade between Pakistan and Bangladesh has increased by 20% to reach $1 billion, with further expansion expected as connectivity improves.
Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan Saqib Sadaqat said enhanced air and sea links are creating new opportunities for trade between the two countries.
He was speaking at a session organised by the Karachi Council on Foreign Relations in honour of a 12-member Bangladeshi delegation of civil servants.
Sadaqat said the introduction of direct flights and better shipping connectivity has supported the growth in commercial activity and is expected to strengthen trade ties further.
