Animal-loaded vehicles banned from entering motorways ahead of Eidul Azha

Authorities have imposed a complete ban on the entry of vehicles carrying animals on motorways ahead of Eidul Azha to maintain traffic flow and prevent accidents.

According to a spokesperson for the Central Region, vehicles loaded with animals will be diverted to alternative routes due to safety concerns linked to overloaded and unfit transport vehicles.

The spokesperson said several serious accidents had occurred on motorways in previous years involving vehicles transporting animals.

Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have been directed to establish check posts at motorway entry points to enforce the restrictions.

Authorities have also ordered action against illegal parking near cattle markets and motorway interchanges.

The spokesperson said strict legal action would be taken against violations of traffic laws and vehicle loading standards.

According to officials, the measures are aimed at preventing accidents and ensuring smooth traffic movement during the Eidul Azha period.
