Pakistan records 43,559 new company registrations in FY2025-26, up 24% YoY
Total SECP-registered companies rise to 301,615; June sees the highest-ever monthly registrations at 4,323

Pakistan recorded 43,559 new company registrations in FY2025-26, the highest ever in a single year, as incorporations rose 24% from the previous fiscal year, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
The latest registrations took the total number of registered companies in the country to 301,615.
In June alone, 4,323 new companies were registered, marking the highest monthly number recorded so far.
Registrations of public sector companies also increased by 25% during FY2025-26.
Province-wise, Punjab led with 22,364 new company registrations, followed by Sindh with 6,691 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 3,820.
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded the highest regional growth, with 1,585 companies registered during the year, showing a 65% increase.
Balochistan registered 759 new companies, up 36% from the previous fiscal year.
The trading sector accounted for the largest share of new incorporations, making up 41% of all newly registered companies.
Foreign investor participation also increased, with 1,014 companies registered by foreign investors during FY2025-26. These companies had a combined paid-up capital of Rs2.5 billion.
According to the SECP, foreign investors were most active in the trading, mining and information technology sectors. Investors from China registered the highest number of companies among foreign investors.
Companies were also incorporated by investors from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Spain, the SECP added.
