Shahbaz Sharif approves “Khadim-e-Punjab Ujala Programme”

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has approved the “Khadim-e-Punjab Ujala Programme” under which ten thousand schools will be shifted to solar energy system across the Punjab province.

Addressing a meeting in Lahore, the Chief Minister said a road show of renowned companies will be organised in China for the implementation of this programme.

The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to prepare an effective mechanism for the monitoring of Khadim-e-Punjab Ujala Programme. He also directed them to complete the project by the end of this year.

Shahbaz Sharif said the project is being started from the schools of Southern Punjab and it will be expanded in phases across the province.
