Pakistan and IMF to resume talks in Dubai

The consultations process under fifth review between Pakistan and IMF will resume in Dubai today (Saturday).

Under Article IV of the IMF’s Articles of Agreement, consultations are being held to discuss economic reforms and development projects focussing on taxation, privatisation and energy sector undertaken by the government during the last four years.

 

Secretary Finance Tariq Bajwa has been heading the Pakistani delegation in the preliminary phase of discussions while the Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar will lead the Pakistani team at the concluding session.
