Pak can export manpower to Ghana

Bilateral relations between Ghana and Pakistan are gaining momentum as cooperation between the two countries is being extended in various fields, stated Honorary Consul General of Ghana in Pakistan Dr Shahid Rasheed Butt.

 

In a press release issued, he added that various Pakistani companies have started business with Ghana where investment policies are favourable and liberal just as they are in Pakistan, stated a press release. Butt, who is also the patron of the Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders, said this while talking to a delegation led by Comsats Executive Director Junaid Zaidi.

Sharing thoughts about Ghana’s economy, Butt said that Ghana has diverse and rich resource base, including manufacturing and export of digital technology, automotive and ship construction and resources such as hydrocarbons and industrial minerals, which have earned Ghana one of the highest Gross Domestic Products (GDP) per capita in West Africa.

Ghana is fast developing with an impressive GDP growth. Therefore, Ghana is actively seeking experts in every field, which represents a  golden opportunity for Pakistan, Butt stated.

Pakistan could earn substantial foreign exchange by exporting manpower to Ghana, Butt said, adding that the country offers lucrative business opportunities for the business community.

Zaidi and other officials present on the occasion informed about the rising cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science, technology and defence production.

A delegation is due to visit Ghana to further strengthen the ties, Zaidi added.
