Bank accounts mandatory for those going abroad  

ISLAMABAD: In order to stop money laundering and to increase remittances, the government has decided to make the opening of bank accounts mandatory for those going abroad.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the National Bank of Pakistan to set up seven booths across the country to facilitate the unbanked sector.

NBP will establish booths in seven protector offices in line with the PM’s decision of collecting remittances through banking channels.

The bank account will be forthwith opened in respect of those going abroad and measures will be taken to ensure the provision of ATM card to them.

NBP will establish booths in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan and Malakand.

  2. This is a good decision of primminister. But this is very important to give extra benifts or special allownce to those staff who’s are working in these Nbp booth to the interest of their work best service and coustomer care of those people those work abroad .The staff make affiliation for the money transfer via bank and for the improvement of economy .All of this will be done with the interest taken by bank.
