Punjab raises property transaction and land record service fees for FY2026-27

The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has introduced a new fee schedule for property transactions and land record services for the fiscal year 2026-27, with the revised charges taking immediate effect.

Under the notification, transactions processed through the e-registration portal will carry a service fee equal to 0.1% of the land value, subject to a minimum charge of Rs3,600.

Housing societies and development authorities will be charged Rs3,000 per transaction under the Property Transfer System.

The fee for filing a case through the Revenue Courts Management System has been fixed at Rs3,500 per case, while the appointment of a local commission through e-registration will cost Rs6,700.

For land record copies, the express service fee for fard, mutation and girdawari has been set at Rs4,000, compared with Rs900 for an ordinary copy.

A Green Property Certificate will cost Rs800, while a copy of the land record has been priced at Rs5,000 and a certified copy of a registered deed at Rs1,400.

The PLRA has fixed the express mutation fee at Rs11,200. Mutation through banks will cost Rs2,100, while an ordinary mutation will be charged at Rs1,200.

Banks and other institutions seeking verification of land records will pay Rs1,000 for each successful transaction and Rs700 for each unsuccessful transaction.

The notification said government fees would continue to be collected at rates separately notified by the Punjab Board of Revenue.
