Nishat Group explores business avenues with Rungis Market 

  • JV between the two companies will help facilitate all stakeholders in Pakistan’s agriculture sector, especially the small farmers

Nishat Group Chairman Mian Mohammad Mansha recently held meetings with the Rungis Market chairman and CEO in Paris to discuss potential avenues of mutual cooperation in the agriculture sector.

Rungis Market is the global leader in wholesale agricultural markets with an annual turnover of $10 billion.

Mansha visited Rungis Market Paris and met the top management of the company to explore the possibility of a joint venture in Pakistan, as such a project would be hugely beneficial for all stakeholders in the agriculture sector in Pakistan, especially the small farmers.

The business leader also met senior officials of the Foreign Ministry of France, led by its executive director for economic development. The officials expressed a keen interest in facilitating the potential joint venture between Rungis Markets and Nishat Group.

Moreover, Mansha met Ambassador of Pakistan in France Moinul Haque and other officials of the Pakistani Embassy in Paris. The embassy assisted in coordinating the meetings with Rungis Market.

Mansha is one of Pakistan’s most prominent businessmen and Head of the Nishat Group of companies. He has led Nishat Group’s growth to become one of the most diversified business conglomerates in South East Asia, now widely recognised as a leading Pakistani business house which is one of the largest private sector employers, exporters and taxpayers.
