Pak Suzuki launches all-new Alto 660cc

• As per estimates, the starting price of Suzuki Alto 2019 variants will be around Rs0.96m and it may go up till Rs1.2m

Pak Suzuki Motor Company launched its most awaited all-new Alto 660cc on Friday at the Pakistan Auto Show 2019 in Karachi.

The all-new Alto 660cc is equipped with Japanese technology and comes with 660cc R-series engine, modern design and spacious interior.

The car comes in three variants, namely Suzuki Alto VX (without AC), Suzuki Alto VXR (with AC) and Suzuki Alto VXL AGS (with AC and automatic transmission).

Pak Suzuki has not disclosed the price of the car as yet but booking for the fuel-efficient car (for corporate clients) has started with advance payment of Rs5 million. As per estimates, the starting price of Suzuki Alto 2019 variants will be around Rs0.96 million and it may go up till Rs1.2 million.

The company is also offering a three-year/60,000km warranty.

Reportedly, Pak Suzuki has already shared the parts supply schedule with its vendors and the orders for parts have also started to deliver.

The new car has been launched as a replacement of the iconic 800cc hatchback Mehran, the company's top-selling vehicle in the last 30 years.

As per some vendors, the assembling of the car would initiate with at least 50pc of local parts.

In Pakistan, small cars like Mehran have played a key role in developing a strong vendor-based industry due to the high localization of parts (up to 70pc). Therefore, to facilitate them, Pak Suzuki has reportedly accommodated nearly 80pc of Mehran vendors in the parts manufacturing of its all-new Alto.
