Govt approves Rs4.26 per litre hike in petrol price

The government on Friday dropped another petrol bomb on the people as it approved Rs4.26 per litre hike in petrol price effective from June 1.

After the increase, the price of petrol would be Rs112.68.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended an increase of Rs8,53 per litre in petrol price for the month of June.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs4.50 per litre, kerosene by Rs1.69 and light diesel oil by Rs1.68. The new per litre price of HSD would be Rs126.82; kerosene would be available at Rs98.46, while light diesel oil would be sold at Rs88.62.

OGRA had proposed a hike of Rs8.99 per litre for HSD, Rs1.69 for kerosene and Rs1.68 for LDO under the monthly fuel charges for June 2019.

  1. Factual position is, even today they are not sure what they are doing;

    1. Reference against only 4 judges, by now 00s of judges in lower judiciary shd have been removed for malpractices, appointments via political affiliations etc etc, only then such action shd have befitted the Naya, which was promised.
    2. FATA they gifted Internet and Mobile services, those have gone wrong.
    3. They wanted to shift private money from Stock Market to other sectors, they are giving it now.
    4. Prices of Oil and devaluation shall put pressure on agriculture the most.
    5. Army is also trying to save face, rumors are that few high ranking individuals who got sacked for malpractices in property/plots 80 being quoted, got re-appointments. I don’t understand how policy of non tolerance against menaces can get public acceptance. Sorry, seems to be happening in another century. “Bajwa sb ki kaghaz par ghugian marnay sy tu koi faraq naheen paray ga.”
    6. We shl get only 6 bn $ and have already lost much in process, debt is the only leverage with banking sector individuals of the so called new team….. May Allah Have Mercy on us.
