Govt refutes rumours regarding Razzaq Dawood’s resignation

Referring to a news item titled “Rumors regarding Advisor’s resignation”, published in a local daily on Saturday, the Ministry of Commerce has clarified that Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce, Textile, Industries & Production and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has not tendered resignation from his portfolio as advisor/federal minister.

“The said news is based on rumours as the adviser is currently out of country due to some personal engagements after seeking due permission from the competent authority. He will resume his duties from Monday, June 17, 2019. In future, the viewpoint of the adviser may kindly be sought and properly reflected prior to the publication of a story related to him.”
