Six Pakistani companies participated in Shanghai Home Textiles 2019

Six leading Pakistani companies participated in the Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition, which concluded on Saturday.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan had organised the Pakistan Pavilion on the occasion to promote locally-manufactured products. Belgium, Taiwan and Turkey had also set up their pavilions.

Covering seven halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre, around 1,150 exhibitors from 27 countries displayed their latest products and technologies for the home and textile sectors. The three-day event (Aug 28th – 31st) welcomed 40,000 trade buyers from 104 countries.

The event offered a dynamic platform for industry professionals to source and to gain design inspirations through the conveniently structured product displays and the fringe programme.

Majority of the buyers came from countries namely Korea, Japan, Russia, Iran, USA, India, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

This year’s edition also included a Carpet Zone where exhibitors of carpets & rugs from India, Turkey, Pakistan and other countries showcased their products.

Adamjee Enterprises, Vohra Asian Leather Crafts, United Towels, Fairdeal Mills & JK Group of Companies remained the prominent representatives of Pakistan.

Exhibitors on the occasion remained optimistic about the Chinese market despite the prevalent economic situation.

“It is the first time we are participating in this exhibition and the effort has been worth it. We managed to get good contacts and business,” Vohra Asian Leather Director Waqas Naeem said

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition was organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).

In 2018, 1,091 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, 39,730 visitors from 104 countries and regions joined the event.
