PIA to operate 13 flights on new int’l routes

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will operate 13 flights on its new international routes, an official of the national flag carrier said on Friday.

He said that two more flight routes from Karachi to Toronto will be functional by the end of this month. “This will bring the airline’s total number of flights to Canada to five.”

Similarly, he stated, an additional seven flights will be added to the Jeddah route, bringing the total number of flights to from Pakistan to Jeddah to 42 per week.

The spokesman said that from October 28, there will be two weekly flights between Quetta and Jeddah, while the same number of weekly flights will be operated from Multan to Riyadh and Dubai.

He said that the airline had already resumed flights from Islamabad to Kuala Lumpur on October 14, adding that PIA also aims to increase the number of flights from Islamabad to Birmingham.

“PIA will start its direct flight operation to the US soon,” he added.
