PM urges traders to help ensure economic stability

Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that promotion of economic activities and bringing people out of poverty were among the top priorities of his government.

Talking to a business delegation in Karachi, PM Imran urged the traders to help boost economic process in the country.

“All stakeholders should jointly work to ensure economic stability in the country.”

Terming the business community as an important pillar of the economy, PM Imran vowed to address their issues on a priority basis.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and PTI stalwart Jahangir Khan Tareen were also present on the occasion.

Earlier in the day, PM Imran Khan had vowed to transform Pakistan into a developed country.

Addressing the ‘PSX Top 25 Companies Award’ ceremony in Karachi, PM Imran had said that the government was committed to creating new jobs and ensuring ease of doing business in the country.

The prime minister had said that 2019 was a year of economic stability and 2020 would be a year of progress, prosperity, development, poverty alleviation and job creation.

He maintained that the country was on the brink of economic disaster when PTI had come into power, adding that the incumbent government had taken significant measures to boost the economy.
