Industrialist Mehtab Chawla dies after being diagnosed with coronavirus

Renowned industrialist Mehtab Uddin Chawla died of the complications from coronavirus on Sunday at a private hospital, a local media reported.

He was Chairman of Al-Karam Towel Industries. He remained under treatment for a month at the hospital. He was buried in the DHA Phase-8 graveyard.

Chawla was the also chairman of the Towels Manufacturers Association and the chairman of the Site Superhighway Association of Trade and Industry. He used to give useful suggestions and recommendations to the government for increasing the exports of the country. 

In one of his interviews to a private TV channel, Mehtab said only way to progress lies in industrialisation.  He had advised the government to consider China as a role model in industrialization and follow it for financial growth in Pakistan.
